Private and Group Percussion Lessons
Taught by David Warne of Sun Radius Music, International
About the Instructor:
David C. Warne received his Masters in Percussion from
Indiana University. He has performed with the New York City Ballet,
the Bolshoi Ballet, Arthur Fiedler, Jim Nabors, Rich Little,
Phyllis Diller, and others. After moving to Traverse City he
helped to found the Encore Society of Music, founded the African
drum and dance ensemble Nankasa, started his own swing band Bay
Swing, formed the Sun Radius Steel Pan Band and opened
Sun Radius Music, International. He is the percussion instructor
at North Western Michigan College and currently performs with
the Traverse Symphony Orchestra, the Grand Traverse Highlanders,
and various jazz, big band, swing, and pop groups.

Sessions:
Private Lessons Available Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 8p.m.
and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Group Lessons Available
Monday through Friday. Please call for available time slots.
Lessons available in general percussion, Caribbean Steel Pan,
Drum set in a variety of styles, Orchestral, Concert, and Band
Percussion, 6th grade band preparation, West African Djembe and
Sabar, Middle Eastern Doumbek, Latin Bongos and Congas, Brazilian
Batucada, Irish Bodhran, and Scottish Highland Drumming.
COST:
$25 for a 30 minute private lesson
$17.50 for a 30 minute semi-private group lesson
$15 for 45 minute percussion ensembles

About the Circle
The Circle has been meeting every Tuesday evening for
over five years now. It is a great way to meet fellow drummers,
learn a little about drumming, or just an opportunity to play!

11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
